This evaluation represents cumulative assessment of this teacher’s work over a yearlong teaching sequence.  The performance criteria are adapted from Enhancing Professional Practice:  A Framework for Teaching (Charlotte Danielson, ASCD, 1996) in which the performance criteria are aligned with INTASC standards.  Each apprentice teacher is rated on a sale of 1 to 7 (7 being “distinguished” and rarely given).  We expect summative Specialist evaluations to fall into the areas between 5 and 7.
